Hey Everyone!!!  It’s been a while since I put any new news up here, so here you go.  I’m FINALLY playing more regularly here in Memphis.  I didn’t think that would ever happen.  For a while, it was like I couldn’t BUY a gig.  But, I’m playing a lot at the Huey’s restaurants and at Rum Boogie.  We have a gig this Friday at the Brookhaven Pub and Grill.  That one should be a lot of fun.  It’s a full band gig from 10-2.  I haven’t played that late for years, hahaha.  Me, Tom Link, Ted Partin, and Edward “Hot” Cleveland.  It’s gonna be one hell of a gig.

We did a four-gig stint at The Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen, Colorado.  What a great room that is.  It’s all wooden, so the sound is really warm.  The set went over really well.  We had a packed house for all four shows, and we’re going back up there in mid-November.  I can’t wait for that.  It’s great to play up there in the mountains, especially when you have crowds like the ones that came to hear us.  It was a blast.

I have hot-rodded BOTH of my Taylors now, and they sounds incredible.  I put the L.R. Baggs M1 pickup in both of them, and coupled it with a Crown condenser mic in the 514.  I’m running them through the PreSonus Acoustic-Q, and I’m loving every note I play.  Both guitars sound great.  I’m finally getting the definition out of the 514, and the 410 is almost eight years old now, so it’s really starting to open up.  The only downside is that I, now, have to take the strat, the tele, and BOTH acoustics to the band gigs.  It’s starting to get ridiculous, hahaha.

One more thing:  I need you guys, whoever reads this, to tell everyone you know about me.  If you like my stuff, tell all your friends.  If you don’t like my stuff, tell all your friends to come to the site and hear how bad I am.  Like P.T. Barnum said, "I don’t care whether it’s good or bad, as long as you spell my name right. " It’s T-U-T-O-R, by the way.  I’m getting out there, and I’m playing much more regularly, but word of mouth can’t be beaten, so call everyone you know, friends, family, neighbors, enemies, priests, pastors, players, and cynics, all about me.  Send them to the site, send them to hear me.

Thanks for your help

Matt
